The Sports + Rec Center (SRC) exists to glorify Christ through positive recreation and fellowship for all Sports + Rec Center members and guests. Sports & Rec Center membership is available to church members and community members.
We offer a wide range of adult sports and yoga classes along with multiple weight rooms featuring cardio and weight machines as well as free weight training equipment. We also offer one full size basketball court with six goals or three pickleball courts, an indoor walking track, lounge area, and meetings rooms.
We also host community groups, mission teams, and other groups throughout the year. Join us as we create community through exercise and sportsmanship!

SPORTS + REC CENTER MEMBERSHIP
Membership Details
Sports + Rec Center memberships are available to all adults and youth older than 12.
Children 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult member when in the facility and remain under the visual supervision of that adult at all times.
Youth 16 years and younger must be approved to use the cardio room and free weight room by a member of our staff before they can enter those rooms without an adult.
All memberships include full access to the facility including:

- Memberships can be obtained in person by:
- Completing and signing an Adult Participant Waiver
- Completing a Sports & Rec Center Membership Form
- Making your membership payment with Cash, Check, or Venmo.
- We do NOT take credit cards or debit cards as methods of payment
- We do NOT offer online registrations
Day Fee Member
- Individuals can purchase a one day pass to the Sports + Rec center for $5

- If you are are a member of the following insurance based fitness programs you receive a FREE membership

- If you are unsure if you have either of these programs we can look you up in person if you have your insurance card
Guest Policy
- We do not allow free guest access to the facility

Pickleball requires a yearly Sports + Rec Center membership or the purchase of a Day Fee
Pickleball Open Play takes place at the following times on the basketball court:
- Mondays 10:30am-12:45pm
- Two nets designated for LEVEL 2 (INTERMEDIATE) players
- One net designated for LEVEL 3 (ADVANCED) players
- Mondays 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Two nets designated for LEVEL 1 (BEGINNER) players
- One net designated for LEVEL 3 (ADVANCED) players
- Tuesdays 2:00pm-4:00pm
- Three nets designated for MIXED LEVEL players
- Wednesdays 10:30am-12:45pm
- Two nets designated for LEVEL 2 (INTERMEDIATE) players
- One net designated for LEVEL 3 (ADVANCED) players
- Wednesdays 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Two nets designated for LEVEL 1 (BEGINNER) players
- One net designated for LEVEL 3 (ADVANCED) players
- Thursdays 9:00am-11:00am
- Three nets designated for LEVEL 0 (NEVER PLAYED OR NEW) players
- This session is designed as relaxed, non-competitive, social play

NOTE: During all open play times if there FOUR or more LEVEL 3 (ADVANCED) players an ADVANCED “FASTBALL” net will be established for safety and competitive play reasons.
Lunchtime Basketball
Lunchtime Basketball requires a yearly Sports + Rec Center membership or the purchase of a Day Fee
Lunchtime Basketball takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on the basketball court.
Lunchtime Basketball Registration Details:
- Each lunchtime basketball session is limited to the first 20 individuals that RSVP and PAY
- RSVPs can be done via the Swish Sports app
- Payment of the $5 day fee can be done one of two ways
- via CashApp to the Christ UMC Sports CashApp ($churchsports1)
- via Venmo to the Christ UMC Sports Venmo (@churchsports)
- NO PAY NO PLAY
- If you only RSVP via the Swish Sports app and you DO NOT pay via the CashApp or Venmo your spot is NOT reserved
- If you only RSVP and somebody else RSVPs and PAYs the individual who RSVPed and PAYed will get the spot
- If you have a yearly Sports + Rec Center membership you just need to RSVP to reserve your spot
Golf League
Golf League players are NOT required to have a membership to the Sports + Rec Center
The Sports & Rec Center hosts a Spring and Fall golf league every year. League play is on Tuesday evenings at Ridgeview Ranch Golf Course in Plano. The Golf League offers a great time for the beginner and/or frequent player. Both men and women are encouraged to play. Players are put into flights and prizes are awarded in each flight.

ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS
Active Older Adults requires a yearly Sports + Rec Center membership or the purchase of a Day Fee
Active Older Adults (AOA) is a fitness class designed for individuals who are over the age of 50.
The class is one hour long and broken down into three 20 minute segments:
- The first 20 minutes is an aerobic warm up
- The second 20 minutes is light weights
- The third 20 minutes is cool down stretching
The current class schedule is:
- Monday AOA from 9:25am-10:30am on the Basketball Court
- Wednesday AOA from 9:25am-10:30am on the Basketball Court
- Friday AOA from 9:25am-10:30am on the Basketball Court
SRC SPONSORED YOGA CLASSES
SRC Sponsored Yoga Classes requires a yearly Sports + Rec Center membership or the purchase of a Day Fee
Yoga is designed to relieve stress, improve balance, strength, flexibility, and boost the immune system. The Sports & Rec Center offers Hatha Yoga, control of the body and mind. Each session focuses on learning basic yoga poses and progressing toward stringing postures together. Our Yoga program offers beginner, mixed levels, and intermediate level classes to meet your needs.
The current class schedule is:
- Friday Yoga with Tess from 9:00am-10:00am in the Loft
- Friday Chair Yoga with Tess from 10:30am-11:30am in the Loft
TAP CLASSES
TAP CLASS HAS REACHED ROOM CAPACITY AND IS FULL FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TAP SEASON
Tap Classes requires a yearly Sports + Rec Center membership or the purchase of a Day Fee
All tap classes take place on Wednesday at the level and times listed below:
- Intermediate Tap with Jean from 1:00pm-1:45pm in Room S126
- Beginner Tap with Jean from 2:00pm-2:45pm in Room S126
PARTNER YOGA CLASSES
Partner classes do not require an SRC membership, but you will need to complete an SRC waiver prior to your first class and you will need to check into at the welcome desk prior to each class.
Individuals will need to contact the yoga instructors directly for all class information, registration details, and payment details.

Personal Training
PERSONAL TRAINING requires a yearly membership to the Sports + Rec Center
My name is Jonathan Lyles and I am a Certified Personal Trainer who is also Certified in Stretching and Flexibility. I specialize in Endurance Training, which is training clients to be able to perform proficient exercise using their own body weight before using weights and machines. I have been working in the Fitness & Stretching industry for over 10 years and have developed effective low impact body sculpting workouts. Come experience The J Factor!
