Adopt a Gateway Apartment Project
CUMC is partnering with The Samaritan Inn, Collin County’s only emergency homeless shelter, on an exciting new project called Gateway Apartments.
Samaritan Inn just started a new transitional living program that offers individuals and families the opportunity to live in an apartment for up to 1 ½ years. During this time, residents are required to participate in all Samaritan Inn programs, which includes remaining drug and alcohol-free during their stay in the program.
Want to help? CUMC is in charge of furnishing and decorating a 1-bedroom transitional apartment. Once a family graduates from the program, they are able to take the entire contents of the apartment to their new residence.
Help furnish and decorate our CUMC apartment by visiting our Target Registry! Click here to see our Target registry or visit your local Target’s service desk – search: Jana Grimone, Christ UMC registry.*Be sure to either print it out or have it sent to your phone to have at the check-out counter.
All gifts for the apartment should be turned in to the collection boxes outside of the TOG by Sunday, Oct. 2nd.
