Youth – APPA June 18-24

Join us on APPA!

If you will complete the 9th-12th grade by this summer, get your tools ready for some mission work in San Saba, Texas! We’ll head south on June 18th (except for seniors who will leave on June 17th) where we’ll share the love of Christ by painting and doing home repairs to roofs, porches, and wheelchair ramps. We will return to CUMC on Saturday, June 24th.

The cost for this year’s trip is $150 unless you worked during telethon. Also, we are offering a discount to families who have more than 2 youth going. Discount instructions will be found on the registration page.

Don’t let money keep anyone from joining us. Please contact the youth office before registering online to find out about payment plans and scholarships if needed.

Be sure to register by June 5th to be guaranteed a t-shirt.  Online registration ends on June 11th.

Student Registration

A-Team Registration (This registration is for our A TEAM adults who are going on the APPA Mission Trip. All other adults who are interested need to contact the youth office to check for space availability.)

Important APPA Dates

June 11:  APPA Pre-trip Info Meeting (youth, parents, leaders) from noon-1 p.m. in the LOFT

June 16:  APPA seniors will meet at the Sports & Rec Center  at 6:30 p.m. to pre-pack.

June 17:  APPA seniors only will meet in Sports & Rec south parking lot to leave for San Saba (time TBA).

June 17:  APPA Packing Party for everyone except seniors at 10 a.m. in Sports & Rec south parking lot

June 18:  APPA group (9th-11th grade) will meet in the Sports & Rec Center for check-in at 12:30 p.m. Eat before you come!

June 24:  APPA group will return to CUMC around 3 p.m.

APPA Seniors:

Required Youth Forms:

CUMC Medical Release for Minors   (unless you have one on file)
Media Waiver  (unless you have one on file)
Youth Code of Conduct   (required for each trip)
Medication Authorization  (bring to check-in with meds)


Required Adult Forms:

Background Check (Adults unless you are current)
Driver’s Application (Adult drivers unless you are current)
CUMC Medical Release for Adults   (unless you have one on file)
Media Waiver  (unless you have one on file)

Van Pick up/Drop off:
Sign up for van pick up and drop off-
Next to each date, it denotes whether it is a pick-up or drop-off. Stephanie will e-mail directions the day before.

Tool List:
Sign up to donate tools – Make sure to place your name on your tools with a permanent marker or tape.  All donated tools will be returned; should a tool break or get lost while on APPA, the youth ministry will replace it. Tools can be brought to the church anytime before June 18th – please bring to the Youth Office.
