Saturday, March 18, from 12-5, you have a unique opportunity to honor one of CUMC’s own, Linda McCullough. Linda has been battling leukemia, and her family and friends are sponsoring a bone marrow donor swab drive in Linda’s honor.
This is an easy process – fill out forms, swab your cheeks, and then wait for a call to confirm you are a match. At the event, you can have questions answered about the process and resulting matches. Testing is painless and could save a life, if you are a match.
Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 55 years old. Over 70% of individuals with blood cancers need help from the donor bank to help with a solution for their cancer. Linda is fortunate – her sister is a match, and Linda will have a transplant in March.
But – many others are in need. Come out on the 18th in support of Linda, her family, and our community.
