Middle School (6th-8th Grade)
Whether it’s in Sunday school, FUSION, youth choir, our awesome trips, or all of the above – you’re invited! If you are in middle school, we want you to get involved at CUMC. Here are some details about all the ways you can participate.
Sunday School is where we come together each week to learn about God. At 9:30 a.m. every Sunday, we meet in the Sports & Rec Center to hang out with friends. At 9:45 a.m., we head to our classrooms to dig deep into God’s words. Sunday school releases at 10:45 a.m.
Grade classrooms are:
• 6th – S205
• 7th – S209
• 8th – S210
FUSION meets every Sunday to bring together youth of all spiritual levels to discover God’s potential for their lives. Everyone meets at 5:00 p.m. in the Sports & Rec Center for a time of fellowship, faith, and of course, lots of fun and games! At 6:15 p.m., we head to the gym for snack supper ($3) and more games. Students are dismissed at 6:45 p.m.
Trips and Retreats
Trips and Retreats are a great opportunity to learn more about your faith, live in service to Christ, and have a lot of FUN!
• Fall Retreat is one of the most popular youth trips of the year. It is a time where youth (6th-12th graders) come together to travel to Sky Ranch in east Texas for a fun weekend of canoeing, horseback riding, team sports, and God time. You can even take that leap of faith on their 850 foot zip line. Watch for more information and online registration as the date gets closer.
• Mystery Trip is the highlight of the summer for 6th-8th graders in the youth ministry. It’s exactly what it sounds like. Everyone loads onto a bus with no idea of where they are headed or what they are doing. The only thing you know heading going into this trip is that you are guaranteed to have a blast! Don’t worry, we will tell you what to pack. Scholarships are available and families can participate.
