We welcome your participation in one or more of the volunteer areas listed below. 

 

PROJECT HOPE COACHES:  Coaches are needed to work with our newest families.  Meet weekly with your family and attend quarterly meetings.  Contact Laurie Kendig at laurie@cumc.com to volunteer or for more information.

 

CARE CENTER - CARE CORPS:  If you like to cook, try this ministry!  Individuals are needed to prepare a meal periodically for those recently returning home from the hospital or families with new babies.  You will be contacted about once every three months and asked to prepare a meal for a family living fairly close to you.  Contact marylin@cumc.com and she will forward your name to our Care Corps Coordinator.

 

USHERS FOR ALL SERVICES:  Ushers are need for 8:45, 9:45 and 11:00 services.  Choose your service time and serve one month per quarter.  Contact Pat Messick at pat@cumc.com or see any usher on Sunday morning.

  

NURSING HOME / HOMEBOUND MINISTRY:  Sunday school classes and individuals are needed to assist in offering worship services at an assisted living facility close to our church.  The services are held on Sundays from 11:15 to 11:45 am and volunteers serve one Sunday every two months.  Please help us bring the church to those who can no longer come to us.  For more information or to volunteer, contact Kay McGowan at 972.596.7186 or kaycmcgowan@gmail.com

 

WEEKDAY WELCOME DESK:  Answer phones, assist visitors and members with information or locations of current events and activities.  Two shifts are available:  Thursdays, 1-4 pm and Fridays, 9 am to 12 noon.  Contact Marylin Smith at marylin@cumc.com to volunteer or for more information.

 

SUNDAY MORNING WELCOME DESK:  Answer phones, assist visitors and members with information or locations of current events and activities, including Sunday school classes for infants, children, youth and adults.  Be available one Sunday per month during one service.  Pick your Sunday and service time.  Contact Marylin Smith at marylin@cumc.com to volunteer or for more information.
