Sports & Rec Center Ham Orchard Day Trip
The Sports & Rec Center will be taking a day trip to Ham Orchard in Terrell, Texas on Thursday, July 24th to have lunch and shop the farm-to-market store. For more information about Ham Orchard click here: https://hamorchard.com/.
Ham Orchard includes a large farm-to-market store that includes fruit fresh from the orchard as well as a canned fruits, the BEST strawberry/peach ice cream in Texas, fresh fudge, and much more. The Day Trip will include transportation on a rented passenger van to Ham Orchard, lunch at the BBQ pavilion, time to shop the farm-to-market store, time to enjoy the BEST ice cream in Texas, and return transportation.
Below are details about the Day Trip:
- Thursday, July 24th
- Meet at the Sports & Rec Center at 9:30am
- Load buses and depart by 10:00am
- Arrive at Ham Orchard at approximately 11:00am
- Shop the store and eat lunch from 11:00am to 1:00pm
- Load buses and depart by 1:00pm
- Return to the Sports & Rec Center at approximately 2:00pm
Due to the cost of transportation and limited spots REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED and there will be a $10 bus fee. Each individual will be financially responsible for their own lunch, ice cream, and anything they want to purchase from the store.
Priority Registration will open for Sports & Rec Center Members with an ACTIVE membership from Tuesday, July 1st through Friday, July 11th. Regular Registration for everybody will open from Monday, July 14th through Tuesday, July 22nd.
You can register at the Sports & Rec Center welcome desk and pay the $10 bus fee with Cash, Check, or Venmo. REGISTRATION REQUIRES PAYMENT BEFORE YOU WILL BE ADDED TO THE ACTIVE LIST. We accept Cash, Check, or Venmo!
This trip is limited to 12 participants, so we encourage you to register early. A waiting list will be maintained, and if any spots open up, individuals will be moved from the waiting list to the active roster in the order registrations were received.
If all 12 spots are filled but you’re still interested in attending, you are welcome to meet us at Ham Orchards by driving yourself or carpooling with others and caravanning from the church to Ham Orchards! We would love to have you join us there!
