LIGHT & DARKNESS IN THE FOURTH GOSPEL
Led by Rev. Mike Flynn
June 21 – August 2 *no class July 5* | Tuesdays | 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Join Rev. Mike Flynn in this 6-week study, as we look at how the author of the gospel uses the metaphors of light and darkness to help us understand how Jesus reveals God’s light and truth in a world of darkness. These metaphors will also be discussed in terms of how characters in the gospel respond to God’s truth revealed in Christ, and how readers today might also respond to God’s message of love. Weekly reading assignments from John will be an important part of the study.
Led by Rev. Raegan Gilliland
July 6 – August 3 | Wednesdays | 12 PM | N158
Join Raegan for a 5-week study on Exodus 34:5-6 as we look at what it means for God to be compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, loyal, and faithful. Bring your Bible as we will be looking at a lot of scripture and learning the original Hebrew words used to describe God.
