There was quite a response to my annual “wheat harvest” column last week. The best was from my friend and Christ United church member Betsy Hooks, who sent me pictures from the recent wheat harvest near Vashti, Texas. The pictures include members of the Davis family, farmers who have been growing wheat in Clay County for several generations.
In the tradition of “a picture is worth a thousand words,” today’s column is mostly visual. Thanks to Sasha, of Sasha Kelton Photography, for sharing her art, and the Davis family for allowing us to share the joy of the wheat harvest.
