Traditional (Sanctuary)

Rooted in the traditions of Methodism, the Sanctuary Worship services are geared towards believers and non-believers alike. Rev. Don Underwood and Rev. Denise Peckham lead us in prayer and share the Word of God in relevant and meaningful ways that apply to our everyday lives.

Musical offerings vary each week from traditional hymns and sacred classical selections to gospel and contemporary songs performed by our Adult, Youth and Children’s Choirs and other instrumentalists including full orchestras, jazz ensembles, piano, organ, and more.

Communion is served in the Sanctuary on the first Sunday of every month. Please don’t forget that in the United Methodist Church, Holy Communion is open to everyone. You do not have to be a member to participate – all are welcome to the table. Gluten-free communion is available at a specified station in the sanctuary with safe elements.

Whether it’s your first time to church in years or first time ever, you’ll fit right in at Christ United!
