First Time Guests
We are excited to have you at Christ United and invite you to explore the many opportunities here for you and your family. On Sunday morning, our welcome team would love to visit with you and answer any questions you have. We have numerous opportunities available right now for adults and children.
What do I need to know as a first-time guest?
At Christ United, we pride ourselves on being a big church with a small church feel. Everyone here is at a different point in their faith journey. We encourage you to come as you are and explore Christ United at your own pace. The dress is Sunday casual, and the people are friendly.
Both traditional and modern worship services are approximately 45-60 minutes long and include hymns/songs, prayer, and a sermon. We serve communion in all services on the first Sunday of every month.
What do Methodists believe?
Like other Protestant Christians, Methodism has a fundamental belief in the Bible and Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living while also putting faith and love into action. This emphasis continues to be the hallmark of United Methodism, and the foundation of Christ United’s mission statement to love God, serve others, and transform lives.
Where do I park?
We reserve spots throughout the parking lot for first-time guests.
I have questions - who do I ask?
On Sunday morning, stop by our Get Connected area and we will be happy to answer any of your questions or connect you with someone who can. We understand that life doesn’t only happen during business hours. We encourage you to reach out to any of our staff with any questions, concerns, or needs you might have.
What activities do you offer for kids?
We offer engaging, relevant programming for kids every Sunday morning with our Children’s Ministry. Our loving nursery staff is available to care for your babies during all three worship hours. Kids 2 years through 5th grade can enjoy a fun in Sunday School during the 9:45AM worship hour. In addition, we offer summer camps, family service opportunities, and other special events for kids and families throughout the year.
What activities do you offer for middle school and high school students?
The Christ United Youth Ministry is focused on helping students develop a relationship with themselves, each other, and God. On Sunday mornings, 6th – 12th grade students are invited to join us at 9:45 AM for grade-level Sunday School in the Youth Loft located on the second floor of the Sports + Rec Center.
For more information check out our Youth page and please connect with Kenzie Ericson, our Youth Director.
Do I need to become a member to participate in activities?
You don’t have to be a member to belong to Christ United. You may participate in any of our groups, classes, mission programs, fitness classes or any other ministry area throughout the church. If you come here, you belong here!
If you have decided to make Christ United your church home, membership is simple: stop by the clergy office after any of our Sunday services to meet and greet with our pastors. The welcoming team will then guide you through the short membership process and answer any questions that you may have.
